**** ELECTIONS ELECTIONS ELECTIONS ****

Club Assembly this Friday 11/20 at the Protocol is a Club Assembly and ELECTIONS!

A great big Clarence Rotary CONGRATS to Dave Thielman on his being awarded the Clarence Rotarian of the Year. Dave's cordial demeanor and spirit of service above self is what attracts many of us to this fine organization. Thank you, sir, for all that you do, and didn't know about!  I've attached Dave's comments to this newletter, for those of you that don't visit our website.

It's fall. The air is crisp. The leaves have fallen. Bucks are in their full fall rut ( as I take my first 10 pointer with my 'new' Mercedes in front of Birgit's Salon on Main last Friday - be careful!!!). Halloween pumpkins have faded. Thanksgiving is upon us, and Holiday lights are starting to appear. We come into the year end Holidays where we find time to give thanks to one another, to honor our close relationships deeply, to count our own blessings, and to give aid to those in need.

Recall the days of your youth, how things seemed "outsized", and how we can remember one sentence or word that someone said that meant something to us, so vivdly it is like it happened in the last minute? When Clarence Rotary hosts its annual Kid's Christmas Party on Sunday, December 20th, each one of us have multiple opportunities to be that vignette that child remembers years beyond. Please join us, and share some Holiday giving with those less fortunate than you. Remember, as the soul of a new child, we really don't have any say as to where we're born. Please call Diane Cortese to volunteer your services, and I'll make sure a sign up sheet goes around the meeting on Friday. Peter Cournan's colorful annoucement follows.

It's also the time of year we give gifts to those who help us all year 'round. Your mail person, newspaper person, children's teachers or day care workers all deserve a small token of our appreciation for their service. Well put those ubiquitous Tim Horton's gift cards in the back of your mind, and support the Clarence Rotary Foundation with a gift of Koeze gourmet treats for your mailman! Final orders are due by next Friday November 27th ( no meeting!), so we should get them to Tom Coseo in the next week.
